Registration for SARDIS PARK

We are now excepting registration for our 2016 Season. The Market starts the1st week of May (May 3, 2017) and goes to the last week of August (August 30, 2017). The Eco Market at Sardis Park is held on Wednesday nights from 4pm to 8pm, rain or shine.

Due to the high volume of applications we receive we are no longer reviewing incomplete applications.

Our Vendor Pillars are MAKE, BAKE, GROW or provide a local Eco-Friendly Business or Service. Our vendor pillars are as stated by the BC Farmer's Market Association.

10 x 10 Stalls (vendors must provide their own tent) are $30. 

Full Season Stall Rentals are $25 ($25 x 18 markets = $450). A $100 deposit will be required to hold a specific stall. We only have 24 Seasonal stalls available.

Food Cart stalls are $25 for seasonal for 10 feet and $2 per additional foot. Casual Food Cart stalls are $35 per market for 10 feet plus $2 per additional foot. Casual Food Trucks can attend a maximum of 4 market per season to allow for variety.

Stall rentals include GST and must be paid IN FULL at the beginning of the season to qualify for the discounted rate.

Application deadline for FULL SEASON vendors is Friday, April 7th, 2017 to be considered for a SEASONAL pass and to be featured on our website. Space is limited. No refunds.

We will accepts applications throughout the season for CASUAL VENDORS, the cost is $35 per stall. There are 8 stalls per market set aside for Casual vendors, this is all rented as first come first serve.

We also allow 2 free stalls per market for non-profits see below for more details.

 

Vendors who purchase a Full Season Stall will be invited to be part of our vendor jury, they will also get first pick on their stall location and will maintain that space for the duration of the season. Full Season Stall rentals will also receive unique benefits such as an enhanced write up on their wares on our website along with ongoing promotion of their products on our Facebook Page.   • Acceptance of Non-Pillar Vendors
  • Effective 2017 we will be allowing spots for "non-pillar" vendors.
  • 10 x 10 Stalls (vendors must provide their own tent) are $35.
  • Tents are mandatory and space is limited.

The Eco Market was established to provide farmers, artists and local businesses with a place to sell or promote their products wares. All items must be within acceptable quality parameters, must be compatible with the Market environment and contribute to the Market diversity. All work must be of original concept, design and execution and made by the vendor. Buy/sell items, items made from kits and commercially manufactured products are not allowed.

Specific type(s) of products, number of Producers, or number of Service Providers may be limited when necessary to maintain market balance such as Individuals who create and produce a finished product such as ceramics, painting, photography, sculpture, jewelry, glass, furniture, clothing, wooden toys, etc. Individuals who offer for sale a product that is grown, processed, or prepared such as edible grains, fruits, vegetables; live plants, trees, shrubs and cut flowers; apiary products; maple syrup and sugar; prepared food such as baked goods, jams, jellies. Individuals who sell a service, i.e. message therapy, local small businesses and non-profits.

Soap and Cosmetics crafter's are required to be registered with Health Canada, ensuring we are supporting the highest level of manufacturing integrity. Food Vendors must comply with Fraser Health regulations

Once notified of acceptance, the full table amount including GST table fee can be made via cheque to BHC Inc. Your stall is will not be considered as booked until payment is processed in full. All fees are non-refundable. All NSF schedules will be subject to a $25 processing fee. You may NOT share your space after acceptance. These spaces are non-transferable. We will not accept payment on the day of the market, since we have limited space all stalls must be paid in full prior to the market to hold the stall.

We reserve the right to assign exhibitor space at our discretion and reserves the right to reassign space or alter the layout.

All vendors must arrive by 3:30 pm to keep assigned space. You may arrive and set up earlier you wish. Late arrivals will be assigned any open space if their space is no longer available. The Market starts promptly at 4:00 pm. All set up should be completed by 3:45 sharp.

VENDORS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO PARK IN THE SARDIS PARK PARKING LOT - please find a spot on the road (without blocking neighbors driveways) and preferable a distance from the park. Let's make is easy for customers get the most convenient parking and make it easy for them to shop at our market. THIS WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED.

Vendors to comply with City of Chilliwack Bylaw No. 3290 - bylaw to regulate the use of Parks and Recreational Facilities, these include:All users of facilities must keep the facilities clean and tidy and free of garbage, exercise the greatest care in the use of the Facilities and Adjacent Areas and, in particular, not affix, place or erect any poster, streamer, light, or any other decoration without the prior approval of the City. 

City of Chilliwack Bylaw No. 4138 prohibts all persons from smoking in Park, Playground or Outdoor Public Spaces. 

All Park Bylaws are listed on the City of Chilliwack website. 

No riotous, boisterous, violent, threatening, or illegal conduct or use profane or abusive language will be tolerated. Vendors are expected to remain until the show closes at 8:00 pm. Take down will occur between 8 pm and 9:00pm. Vendors must remove everything from their space including any garbage.

  • We have 6 events nights planned for the 2017 season which is open to all vendors. We will be having a 50/60's Night (May 3), 70's Night (June 7), 80's Night (July 5), 90's Night (Aug 2) and End of Season PJ Dance Party (August 30)
  • By submitting an application you acknowledge that I have read and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions stated here. You also agree not to not hold The Eco Market, BHC Inc. or the City of Chilliwack responsible for loss, damage or theft of any items. I understand that I am an independent vendor and assume all liability of on account of or in any way related to my participation in the event including any non-participants who accompany you. About Sardis Park

This park features 5 hectares of pond and two new play area. The trail that winds around the park gives a wonderful view and insight into the different species of wild fowl that make this their home.

Entertainment

We offer live local music every market. The set times vary at each market as does the pay, please contact us with information about your band! The Eco Market has a very small budget for musical entertainment, this will be based on experience.

Hula hoop dancing, Tai Chi, Zumba, Yoga, Bootcamp, and Magicians at the Market. Please let us know how you would like to provide entertainment at the market. We currently have no budget for entertainment but if you would like to come out to the market and promote what you do, we would love to have you!

Non-Profits

We offer one stall per market for non-profits. Please contact us with your non-profit's details along with your preferred dates to attend our market. This is done on a case by case basis. Each non-profit will only be given one free stall per season. Non-profits are to follow vendors requirements and rules, including set up and take down. Please review the registration regulations for more info. Non-profits must provide The Eco Market with a donation receipt and therefore must be registered.
